OutdoorExplore! is a collaboration between San Diego Canyonlands, San Diego Audubon Society, and the Natural History Museum to provide educational and fun access to nature for kids in after-school programs. It provides a place-based, free-form, experiential connection to our natural environment.

The Goals of OutdoorExplore! are:

• Provide children with more physical activity
• Connect children to natural spaces in their local community
• Inspire children to develop an ethic of stewardship for their neighborhood's natural environment
• Promote the cultivation of a "sense of place"
• Offer children opportunities for fun, imagination, and delight with nature
